Welcome to the Redwoods!
Residents of the Redwoods neighborhood benefit from being close to downtown Los Altos with all its conveniences as well as being located in the flatter sections of Los Altos Hills. This makes for a more pedestrian-friendly place to live than the Foothills.
Homes in the Redwoods are custom built, creating an architecturally diverse atmosphere. They vary from modest single story ranchers to more exquisite and elaborate estates. Residents also take advantage of the Fremont Hills Country Club, a fantastic locale for nautical and equestrian enthusiasts alike.
A treasured gem of this neighborhood is the Redwood Grove Nature Preserve. Though it’s only 5.9 acres of land, residents enjoy the boardwalk trails beneath the shade of majestic redwoods. The small creek that runs through at certain parts of the year is a great place for children to explore the outdoors. What it lacks in hiking trails, the Nature Preserve makes up for with great kids’ programs, quaint picnic areas adjacent to playgrounds, and the Fava Indian Artifact Collection.
The northern end of the Redwoods is served by the Palo Alto Unified School District while the southern end is served by the Los Altos School District.
