Lloyden Park

Welcome to Lloyden Park!

Unlike the more extravagant neighborhoods in Atherton, Lloyden Park has a much more suburban feel with its well maintained sidewalks, smaller parcels, and mainly one-story homes. Originally, it was a single large estate belonging to Joseph Coryell until the late 1920s when it was neatly divided into 86 approximately one-third acre lots. The gas lamp pillars still mark the entry of the once present Coryell Estate giving the neighborhood a very traditional feel. However, there are many contemporary houses as well as wonderful art deco designs commemorating the 1939 San Francisco World’s Fair. Even though many of the homes in Lloyden Park are mature in age, they have been well preserved and many homeowners have gone to great lengths to modernize the interiors.

Lloyden Park is within walking distance of Atherton’s core and is home to many suburbanite families who find themselves conveniently close to Holbrook Palmer Park. The Park has tennis courts, play-structures for the kids, and hosts special events like Easter egg hunts, the Fourth of July parade, summer festivals and other communal activities.
